My 24ft pontoon had the 99 115 Merc blow a hole in the side of the block. I picked up a 2000 Evinrude 90hp FICHT so I have a conversion project underway. I do have the SELOC manual on cd for the 2000 Evinrude. I also got a used Evinrude binnacle control with the red plug on it (pre 1996?). I am having trouble figuring out what hookups I need.
1. Are there only 2 plugs on the motor side (I see an 8 pin plug hanging loose and a 2 pin plug for the oil tank which I also see). Or are there other spots on the motor I need to hook up other than the battery leads?
2. On the Evinrude binnacle control is there a diagram for it or an adapter or something so I do not have to re-engineer the control?
3. Any help would be appreciated.
