Evinrude 9.9 Not keeping fuel pressure

I replaced the hose and the pump and the tank to see if that would help. But today when I was out on the water, I tried to start it up and ran for a little bit, but win I started to crank it up, it died. What should I do?<br /><br />Thanks,<br /><br />Nathan

Fuel Pump is that what u replaced????? <br /> Is it pumping water???? it sounds like ur motor is overheating and shuting off

Welcome Nathan - Lots of info here.<br /><br />You can start by telling us what year your motor is and if you have a shop manual & which one.<br /><br />Also go to the FAQ & read Motor Won't Start. It covers the basics. You need to do some troubleshooting to find out what the motor is and is not doing - otherwise you could continue to throw parts and money at it without solving the real problem.

It is pumping water, but after a little pit the pressure in the pump on the fuel line is lost and eventually it dies. I don't know what year this is. I would guess around 95 or so.
