Evinrude 9.9 hp

Just picked up an Evinrude 9.9 hp outboard that runs like a champ. Need help in determining year and model number. I cannot find either on the motor. Any suggestions on how to obtain this info? Judging by photos from various Evinrude stuff it appears to be early 70's.

Normally on a brass tag on the port side of the transom bracket. If removed you might find it on top of the motor on a silver (or painted) disc about the size of a quarter. Best of luck. Rick.
