Hi all,

I put my evinrude in the water today and was still bogging down under load. Thing ran fine with muffs in the driveway. Pulled the fuel pump and found a tear in one of the gaskets and an extremely dried out rubber diaphragm. I'm ordering a new pump, but curious if any others have had this issue, and if the fuel pump was the cause of it.

Thanks!

Factory new diaphragm is often all that is needed.----Model # of your motor?----They will sound great on a hose running on 2 of 3 cylinders.

only way to know is to make 110% sure delicate idle circuits in all carbs are clean, and firing on all 3 with good compression, and squeeze the primer bulb as it bogs. if it picks up, you can bet its the fuel pump. if the pump is bad, it will fall on its face right away but idle happily for 5 minutes with just the fuel in the float bowls
