I have an Evinrude 50hp electric shift that will not turn over. Does the shift need to be in the neutral position for starting and does the motor have to be running to shift? Thanks for any help.
Yes the shift selector needs to be in neutal to start. On an electric shift motor the engine has to be running to shift. Can you post your model number so that we can tell which motor you have?
