Hi, Just bought an old engine some weeks ago, all well until now. Last outing the engine started "coughing" and stalled if trying to rev for a while, then suddenly no problem, all ok.
Today, out of thin air, it suddenly did not want to rev in forward gear, maxed out at same rpm as when reversing. However, in revers, where it used to be som sort of "rpm limitation", it now revs high- I am able to rev "manually" in free (turning the lever on engine block), but get same low rev in forward gear turning carb lever manually... To me it seems that the "rpm limitation" mechanism somehawk has "switced" from revers to forward gear, and I have no idea what is happening...
Any thoughts and ideas are extremely welcome. Please also forgive my english as my native language is Norwegian
Hope to get suggestions!
Regards,
JonB.
