Hey guys,
i have just purchased an new boat with a 2000 model Evirude Injected four stroke to push it... I have done about 5 or six short trips in the past couple of weeks and out of curiosity i pulled the oil cap off and there was a creamy paste in the oil well and in the cap, i removed the fuel filter no water in the fuel, i pulled the dip stick and the fuel has bee getting into the oil some how.. I had it with my local marine engineer last week to have it looked at, they serviced and put a new thermostat , in saying that the motor runs super cold which tells me that fuel will be by-passing the pistons and not burning it properly, ending up in the oil, i have also been told it could be a little diaphram in the fuel pump that has a hole in it.. I gave it a run lastnight and it never missed a beat it hasn't since i owned it, but upon pulling the dip stick it is evident i still have a pretty major problem any one else had this problem?? Cheers in advance Damo..
