I have just been disassembling, cleaning and rebuilding. I've used a thin wire and squirted carb cleaner into all orifices. On the last but one occasion, I had access to an airline at my local marine engineer's workshop. I haven't taken apart the fuel shut off valveand the fuel valve seat is immovable. My marine engineer has taken a look at the float valve and needle valves and declared them both in good condition. I think most of you would agree that there's something lodged somewhere in there and my task is to find it and get it out.

'fraid there will be some delay as the recoil starter rope has snapped! Need to look around the forum to find some wise words on how to rethread the rope ...
