evinrude 3 hp lightwin

I was given a near mint evinrude lightwin last week. I cleaned the carb new plugs and filled her with gas and a couple of pulls and she started right up. However after about 5 minutes she dies then will not start for another 10 minutes. It is not overheating, seems to pump good water and has good compression any advice would be great?????

Sounds like coils maybe getting hot and breaking down!

That would be my guess too. Make sure you run a 16:1 mix on that gem.

If it's not the spark, check the fuel filter in the tank.
