I finally got mine on the water this weekend after a repower as well... Kinda sucks because the rude that was on it was the origional motor, but it was toast. the lower unit was shot, and would have cost me close to a grand for a rebuilt, and the motor needed a starter on top of it. Picked up a '66 merc 50 hp for $500.

Next week I'm taking the '65 Niagara and our kids out to Sag Harbor NY. My wife is happy to stay home and have a few days peace and quiet! LOL! My Sister and her 3 boys and my brother's family will be there. So I anticipate a lot of run time on the MFG. Hope we get a few good days of weather!

Got back from NY. We had a great time, but it was a short trip. The MFG started and ran fine. The water was flat as a pancake, not a wave to be seen, so we ran WOT most of the time. Boat handles so nice on calm water its just too fun to drive.

I let my 16 year old nephew drive for a while, he's going to get his boat lisence soon.

Drove around all afternoon on about 5 gallons. Not too expensive a trip. Think I'm going to keep this boat a bit longer than planned.
