Ever see one of these trolling motors?

It's a Navigator trolling motor used as a stern thruster on our boat. It rides up out of the water when on plane. Sure makes docking a lot less stressful.
24V, 55LB thrust, SS :cool:

Thanks. The only thing I changed was the on/off switch on the controller to a momentary. I kept forgetting to turn it off.

Do you need the speed control or could you use it in bursts at full power?
I'm thinking simply one switch for forward and one for reverse (port or starboard) would probably work good enough for me.

No need for speed control. You will want "full power Scottie" all the time. :)

That is a great idea for edging the boat closer to the dock. Nice diving rig you've got there bruizer.

Do you dive in Lake Huron in the shipwreck alley area near Alpena at all? 30 some ships down there and they have a great shipwreck museum in town that is pretty interesting.
