evenrude gas tank

ihave an old aquasonic 7.5 hp outboard that runs great my problem is in the pressurized fuel tank. <br />The diaphram in the tank is torn and the tank will not hold pressure any sugestions on were to get parts or a used gas tank (good shape).

Hi Sheldo<br /> Sorry I don't know were to go for parts in your area. There are parts around for your tank. I would sugest repairing your tank as opposed to getting another. You will just have the smae problem. Do a complete over haul on yours including the o-rings in the connector and a new hose. <br />Then it will last you another fifty years.

sheldo....parts for the old pressurized tanks can still be had from any John/Rude dealer. Just take the tank with you. The pressurized tanks had gone through some changes. It would do you well to also try and scrounge a parts breakdown from the dealership.<br /><br />OBJim
