Etec HO vs Etec

What are the differences between the two. Hope to purchase an Etec for my center console primarily used for offshore fishing. I do not need the speed as I like a comfortable ride on my 21' center console. Are the lower units the same gearing. Thanks.

Call BRP customer service at 1-262-884-5993 and ask them. They should have the latest info.

Go with the standard Etec... only difference in engines is the port timing and mapping in EMM for the HO motors. All the newer motor should have the modified "magnum" lower unit with the HO still supplied with the junky "lighting" gearcase...
