Envinrude info and perhaps some help?

I have a 15 HP Evinrude outboard, model # 15904E, serial # C7050179. I would like to know the year it was manufactured. Also, I need a complete bottom end, including the drive shaft with water pump. Any help is appreciated.<br />Thanks,<br />Jay

Engine is a 1979 model.E-bay would be one possible source for the lower unit.I'm sure others can give leads on some other possible sources.

Are there any 'classified' websites for outboard motors such as there is for other recreational equipment?

Yes, there are numerous. Just do a search for "used outboards". I bid and won a good one on ebay.

Try www.outboard-parts. or www.usedoutboardparts.com or www.americanoutboard.com. There are a lot of used outboard parts dealers out there. I have had good luck finding parts on ebay but you will find them when you find them. You can't expect to get exactly what you want right when you need it on ebay.
