Hello,<br /><br />I am not very mechanical.<br /><br />I have just come into posesion of a boat with a 125hp 6cy inline merc, I believe 1968.<br /><br />Apparently is was supposed to run fine.<br />However I can not seem to start the engine.<br /><br />When I turn the key all that happens is the cover over the carbys moves up but no turning or fire.<br /><br />Is there something I am missing?<br />Or where should I start to check mechanical things.<br /><br />The battery works fine, changed over anyway.<br />We put a new solenoid on thinking that might be the problem, but nothing.<br /><br />Thanks
