engine wont idle??

i have a 94 johnson 30hp 2 stroke, and i had posted a thread earlier about gas mixes and got that figured out, now the only problem is that it wont idle, it start right up first time always, remind you this is an older motor but is has only about 2-3 hours of running on it and was winterized each year very well maintained. i have to throttle down full blast in neutrel to get it to rev up and when put back to idle position it almost dies.

Squirt some premix in the carb throat at the point of stalling.....if it picks up its probable that the carb needs a clean and rebuild.
