Engine will not rev after idle

I have a 97 model 25 horse Johnson , after it idles for just a short time it will not turn any rpm's . If I let it set for awhile it cranks and runs fine . I can run long and hard but as soon as I idle it refuses to run right . I have replaced primer bulb , no effect . Any help is appreciated .

all motors opeate best at operating tempature you must let them warm up be patient if it has the idle problem after it is diffently at operating temp your idle jets could be dirty ,spark plugs fouling,bad gas ,to rich mixture so check your plugs they will tell you alot or run some seafoam to clean the carbs without dismattling them
