Re: Engine Vibration
With the engine not running and controls in the neutral position, spin the prop by hand and note whether there is visible signs of the prop running untrue.Better yet to just remove the prop and perform a runout of the installed propshaft by using a stationary block and feeler guage method or better still ,a dial indicator. This will let you know if a bent propshaft is causing your issue.Bare in mind that the prop itself could be the problem if the hub isn't running true or the blades are bent. However, vibratioin due to bent shafts or props is usually more pronounced at higher rpms.

On the other side of the coin,if your problem is engine related ,it is likely due to a carb related link and synch out of adjustment issue or even fouled or mis-application sparkplugs.

What prop are you currently running?

What sparkplugs are you running?

Did the engine recently have any bottom impact with the lower unit while running or has the engine done this for some time?

Are you running engine without a thermostat?
