engine vibration for 97 Johnson FastStrike

Would anybody no why I would be getting excessive vibrations from this motor? Also when I shutdown the motor and restarted, it ramped to 2500 RPM.

Vibration in gear or out of gear?Need more info on your problem.Horsepower?model number?

Vibration in and out of gear. When I try to give more gas it dies. Then I restart and the motor ramps to 2500 RPM. It's a 97 Johnson FastStrike 150 HP. Don't know the exact model number but it's carberated, oil injection.

without seeing and hearing engine I'm guessing that you have some restricted fixed fuel orifices and or porting in one or more of your carbies.
