engine swap question

I have a 1981 2.5 litre GM OMC paired with a stringer 400 outdrive. I am looking into a boat with a good Cobra drive, in need of a GM 2.5 litre motor. Is this a difficult swap? <br /><br />I am aware that it mounts differently, but does anyone know for certain that the bolt patterns are the same? Everything on the cobra drive boat is in great shape, just want to make sure I can R & R all the mounting parts etc. Appreciate your help.<br /><br />-Jeff

Ayuh,.........<br /><br />It's the Same Motor........All the bolt holes should Easily line up.........

Thanks Bondo. I figured it was. Special tools, such as alignment tools? I have that (cobra) manual, just need to read it. Just wondering off the top of my head what else I might need.

Never mind, apparently my version of good condition and his version are not even in the same country....what a peice of junk......
