engine stalls re-starts and stalls again 50Yam4Stroke

My engine has stalled, then started easily just to stall again. Had to row home. Now it cranks as always and will run, idle up fine. Before I take it out I'd like to know why. I wonder if maybe some water may be in the fuel and it worked it's way through the system.

You are going have to look for trouble yourself or at least eliminate things as you troubleshoot the problem, There are no crystal balls for us to look in to find the answer. There is not enough info to even guess at this point.

can we get a model number?
there were at least 3 carbed versions and one EFI version of the 4 stroke 50 since the 1990s.

I'm going through the same thing. I had to trouble shoot and I'm still working onit. I found water in the tank, look milky, rust, etc. I cleaned the tank and change the water filter seperator and gas filter. Now it turns on and when I reach 25 rpm it shuts down. Now I think it's the fuel line. I have a post going on right now. But haven't got an answer yet. Guess my help is out on the beach , lol... This is the link with my issue>>
