I have a 1995 175 hp Johnson Ocean runner which is running erratically at 3500 to 4000 RPM. The engines bucks (feels like it is shutting down )and then comes back to normal operating speed a second later. This is repeated multiple times over the course of an hour of run time. The higher the RPM the more evident the problem. <br /><br />I have replaced spark plugs, VRO, and had a boat mechanic analysis without much success. I have also noticed that the engine is easy to start initially after sitting for a week. After running for a few minutes the engine stalls, like the key had been turn off, then it is very diffcult to start. Any help would be appreciated.
