Engine mount after stringer repair

OK, after some work I have replaced the rotten cross stringer for my engine mount and now I need to re mount the engine.

I have a 1992 Sea Ray 200 Overnighter with a 3.0L Merc. The cross stringer that supports the front engine mount was replaced and glassed appropriately. My question now is how do I position my front engine mount (and bolt to stringer) from side to side. Currently my engine is supported up by blocks for the repair and I do not believe it moved much (if any) when removing the front mount. Is it acceptable to position the the bracket (in regards to side to side) in the position where the engine currently rests? I intent to do an alignment check in the spring however I'm unsure if the above will work to position the mount correctly from side to side. Any input or direction? Thank you all.

Put the front mount on, drop the motor down on the crossmember and install the rear mounts. Go through the alignment procedure with an alignment bar to find the side to side position of the front mount. Bolt the front mount to the cross member and recheck alignment.

Ayuh,.... Welcome Aboard,..... As GA says,... Ya need an alignment bar, Right now,....

You align the motor settin' secured/ bolted on it's rear motor mounts,...
Then shim or build yer new structure to the motor's front mount,....
The alignment bar tells ya where to finish boltin' it in,....
