I have bellhousing serperated from the gimbal ring. I replaced the gimbal bearing and all the bellows and I am doing the shift cable but, the nut attached to the shift cable outer has stripped bad. I am replacing the outer so I cut the nylon that sticks out of the nut. I am worried about drilling it out becasue I dont wanna mess up the bellhousing.

You guys know any tricks to getting this bugger out?
It is stripped down to wear a 13mm will wrap around it

I have just done the same thing. I sent the part to a machine shop where they drilled out the hole and installed a new set of threads. I think it cost about $15 and took half an hour!
