Hi this is my first post and I hope someone can help. I have a 1998 Johnson 35HP 3 CYL. The problem I am having is the engine shuts off at speed as if the key was turned off. the engine runs fine at idle. So far I have tried disconnecting the kill switch and over heat sensor, I have also looked for any wear spots in any wires to check for a grounding out issue ( even ran it at night looking for sparks ) none found. I have checked spark at speed and the spark shuts off immediately when the engine dies. Any opinion or experience with this problem would be a great help.
