engine burning to much gas maybe leaking

Hey guys, took the boat out today,ran like crap. When i got home i noticed i used almost 4.5 gallons of gas in about 2hrs of running time. Also it looks like i'm leaking gas from somewhere. It's dripping and coming out on the bottom of the engine. Any ideas.....

What is the HP of that motor? That is 2.25G/hour which is great for a large motor, but lousy for a kicker. What do you have? Did you see any fuel in the water?

Geeze, 2.25 gallons per hour is bad ?!?!?!?!?!?!? I can go through that much in well under 10 minutes.

Have you ran the engine with the cowl off to look for leaks? My first guess would be cracked fuel lines going to the carb(s), but there's other places it could be coming from as well. Take care of this before you go out again, it's potentially a dangerous situation.
