Engine alarm

After a two hour cruise, I increase Rpms up to 4000 and one of my engines slightly heated up And alarm went off. Would slow down, turn off, and run for 10 mins before it happened again.

Temp did go up, but not much past 180. Volvo pent 5.0 420 hp twin engines

Any thoughts for my return trip? Disengage alarm?

When was the last time the impellers were replaced?

You don't give any hint to what model or year these engines are, never heard of a 420hp 5.0L is it a Ford or a Chevy?

Sorry, these are Volvo sterndrive 420 hp v8 Model year 2006. Impeller checked beginning of season. Also new thru hull cooling system put in this year. Engines have 175 hours.

What is the full model number or serial number of your engine, there is no such thing as a 420hp 5.0L from Volvo.
