Ellipses disappear?

I sometimes use ellipses as I write, but the disappear upon submitting the post. Any ideas why? Is there a setting I've missed? Thanks!

Volphin, how often is it happening?

Every now and then, I have a special character that I know how to pull off on the Mac but the forum editor flips out (can't think of one off the top of my head though).

Nope. I don't add a space between the last letter and the ellipse.

In the middle...of the sentence...but that didn't do ... anything ... different.

You using the quick key short cut from the Mac? The first time I typed this post and put it up, the ellipses didn't show. When I edited the post, and then put it up they did show ... then on the third edit they disappeared again. Who knows if we can see 'em now

I think it's the editor interacting with the Mac keystrokes. I can't get the "degree" symbol to show up anymore for what I assume is the same reason.
