Does the engine turn over when you use the electric start?<br />If so,<br />Do not try to start it without water. Iether put the foot in a garbage can full of water, or use earmuffs over the pickup (hard to do on your merc's pickup).<br /><br />Toggle switch on the starboard side should be on run. It might be corroded from sitting so long. <br />Try the WD40 trick. Spray a 2 second burst right down the carb throat,and pull it thru.If it sputters, you know it's fuel related.If it doesn't sputter, disconnect iether wire from the toggle switch, and try it. Word of caution,if this switch IS bad, the engine will run,with no way of stopping it,except choking or killing the fuel supply.
