electrical problem?

i have a century 4000 with a mercruiser 488..<br />sometimes i can run it an fish all day but others i can be running it on the way back in from fishun an it looses power...almost like a spark plugwire fell off...like it drops a cylinder...if i use my trim/tilt on the dash or throttle lever it almost shuts down...anyone ever have this problem before? thanks in advance

Bad connections somewhere. Check the battery cables, including the grounds. Don't forget those cables have 2 ends. Clean, tight, cable ends and connections are a must.<br />Also check the main engine harness connector.
