While using boat heard ticking sound. After trailering it heard it again, can't tell where its coming from. Sounded like electrical spark ticking over and over. Key not on, all accessories off.
Turned battery switch off it goes away. Turn back on starts right back ticking.
Ideas?

Start by removing all fuses or popping all circuit breakers. Turn the battery switch on and the ticking should be gone. Reset circuit breakers or fuses until the ticking starts. At least you've narrowed it down.

Does the boat have an engine hour meter? If so it may not be wired thru the ignition switch. Is this a new problem?

Check the transducer. Some are wired directly to the battery, and they do make a ticking sound.

You nailed it, I had installed a thru hull transducer right between the driver and passenger seats under floor directly on hull. It was it. Thanks a bunch

It would be best if the ducer is wired to a switch. Some can be damaged of run not in the water to much.
