Here is one for you. Before I put the wiring on the positive side of the ignition coil it reads about 12 volts but when it is on the terminal of the ignition coil it drops down to 2.3 volts. My engine is having a hard time starting.:mad:

what engine are we talking about it sounds like a I/O and if the points are closed you will get a large voltage drop
