Chaparral Signature 260 2004
Hi all.
On my boat with electric windlass, I have a 50A windlass breaker behind the battery switch door, PLUS a 50A glass fuse under the helm near the buss bars.
The 12V from the fuse goes to the anchor switch UP-DOWN.
Everything was working fine before I touched it
My questions are;
- Is that glass fuse from Chaparral or it has been added? Anybody else has this?
- What is protected by the windlass breaker?
I'm asking because I installed a wireless remote control for the windlass, replacing the manual switch by a solenoid.
Since then, the windlass breaker trips when I reconnect my battery.
I then tried to remove the glass fuse, and reset the breaker, but it still trips but the fuse doesn't blow.
So, where is the current going? Is there any other circuitry on the windlass breaker?
Thanks.
