Electric Starter Motor Question

I'm trying to track down the manufacturer of a starter motor. Part of the original tag is missing, what remains is "-reimers" and the serial number (8D147). Any idea who the manufacturer is?

The starter motor is off of my '59 Mercury Mark 55A which I removed because it is locked up.

Additionally, any ideas for a replacement motor?

Some of the small motor shops also deal in starter motors, I found one for a 68 Johnson like that.
