electric probllems

hey everybody,
i need to know ddoes anybody else have a chrysler 45 hp that runs or just knows alot about the. i finally got mine to start but it is like it is running on one cylender. only one of the sparkplugs get power o ri should say the coil, only one gets power, uit is the one hooked to the blue and white the one hooked to brown and blue doesnt get any power to the coil so therefore no spark. the only thing that i dont have hooked up is the purple wire which i think is the generator. i dont know where it goes. it has a #2 ON IT BUT on most motors there is a black thing that alot of wires hook up to this one has a red thing with only three prongs not sure where purplw goes and i dont know why only one coil gets power? if you copuld help it would be great.

oh ps. i tried switching the coils just to make sure they are both good and they both send power through from the good wires

The purple wire on the key side is probably just hanging. It is for instruments like a tach that you probably dont have.

You will need to check the points and the condensor next. The spark for the coils come from there. Hopefully it is just the points that need to be replaced. I believe condensors and points for that motor are still availible.
