NPR did a poll mostly aimed at listeners who call themselves conservative religious voters.
Only one question was asked:Does this Folie thing in any way influence which candidate you will vote for?
The overwhelming majority answered that all politicians are crooks and most have skeletons in the cupboard. No matter what party you vote for.Almost all of them said they would still vote for their republican candidate.
According to this little poll ,the Folie thing will have no effect on the elections at all

I agree, repub or democrat, all a bunch of crooks.

Gotta vote for the lesser of two evils.

Re: Election fallout with Folie?

This whole thing smells.
Why did those who knew about it, hold the info for three years?
And why was it released now?

Why did the page hire a megabuck atorney?

Why did the news that he was 18years old not hit the mainsteam news outlets yet? After all, it was known since the story broke that the 16yo story was fabricated.
Yet, no reports of the TRUE age?

Why is this case different than studds' case?

Will the promised investigation probe for answers to those questions in addition to page security concerns?

Or is page security not even an issue?

Inquiring conservatives minds want to know yesterday.

The determining factor will be whether the right wing religious voters are energized to go to the polls. If they think they are all the same, they may not vote. That will be the determining factor in whether it will affect elections or not.

Just curious. Was that NPR a scientific poll, or just an informal survey?

According to the info rolmops posted, it would be an informal survey.

It's interesting to watch fundamental christians contemplating voting democrat, while blacks and homosexuals are moving to the republicans.

Hello Plywoody.
The people polled were picked out of a previous scientific poll because of the way they answered that one.
No it was not scientific,it was just a sampling. However the same question was asked by a large polling organisation that did a scientific poll and they came up with the same answers.
Pointer,I am very happy that what you mentioned is happening, because it shows that the cultural liberation of colored and gay people is succeeding and neither color nor sexual preference pushes you in a political direction anymore.
Religion is probably far more message bound and different religious groups will try to influence politicians in order to promote what they see as the right way to live.

NORFOLK NAVAL STATION, Va. — With a deafening single blast from its whistle, the shore-bound well-wishers began waving, a little boy called out, “Bye, Dad,” and four tugboats began easing the huge gray aircraft carrier Dwight D. Eisenhower away from Norfolk Naval Station’s pier 14.

Ike was off on a gloriously clear Tuesday morning for points east — the Mediterranean and, likely, the greater Persian Gulf region. Following on, in short order, were the other members of its carrier strike group: the destroyers Ramage and Mason and the cruiser Anzio. The attack submarine Newport News left in mid-afternoon, at about the same time Carrier Air Wing 7 was scheduled to begin flying aboard, officials said.

Think maybe Rover is planning his October surprise for before the election?

Treedancer,It takes a lot more than a carrier group to crack that nut.
Unless of course the goal is to win elections.
