ECM Replacement

As title says, I am replacing the ECM on my 2002 6.2 MPI (no power to fuel pump relay from ECM) I have gone through all the normal testing procedures and I'm just not getting any signal from the ecm to the relay so I am replacing the ECM (after hours of dead ends finding one)

My question is, are these like doing an ecm on a vehicle where I will have to have it "flashed" or Programmed after its installed? Or is it just a plug and play?

May sound stupid, but this is the first ECM issue I've run into on a boat.

It will be plug and play.

What design ECM do you have? MEFI or 555?

Have you found one yet? Engine serial number should help too.

555 - ECM Part number on original is 864273-3 however I have found it was superceeded by part number 864273T07
Engine Serial number is OM330428

$2,489.79$2,282.441

If you have the time then there are a few places that might be able to inspect and repair your old 555 ecm if needed and possible.

I will look into that, thank you for the tip there. I think the person that ownes this boat will likely just replace it to lessen his concern that it will happen again. I have found one on SeaWay Marines website for just under 1700 (they state it has to be drop shipped from Mercury) but its the best option I think at the moment.

I was just unsure if it needed to be programmed after install and I am amazed and thankful for how quickly there was a response here :)

Thank you for the help!!

May want to call SeaWay first before ordering, I was always under the self-impression their website was a bit outdated at keeping up with the times...I could be wrong through too.

Good luck.

I did call them, the ECM will have to be drop shipped. However, after speaking with the customer we will be going with the attempt at a repair. Thank you again for that lead.
