Early 80's 20 horse outboard engine??

Good Evening All

I was wondering if anyone could help me out. I was out in my boat today and had an issue with my motor. It starts good but when I gave it gas the engine would rev up but the boat would slow down. A couple of weeks ago I noticed it when under full throttle it would rev up but appears there is no power at the prop. Any help would be great. Have a good evening

Your prop most likely has a spun hub. Either have the prop rebuilt or replace it.
