ifyou see no lights on the EMM don't worry about EV diagnostic for now. find out why your EMM does not power up. Check all connections related to B+and grd from the battery to engine. Cable crimps . Easy stuff to track first.......... then focus on the EMM power source. see wire diagram in the manual did you download it ??

it MUST have B+ on purple from the front key ON.

I recently did load a defective PC with W10 + EV diag and I doubt BIOS settings are your problem.

Here is two emm's. One is from a 2012 25hp tiller. The other is from a 2012 115. Both have the LEDs but in different areas. When you turn the key or pull start they all light up and go off unless you have a problem then it will stay on. The 115, the first light stayed on and it was an under volt. Turned out the flywheel magnets debonded. Re-bonded them and I'm good to go. There was a code...17 if I remember correctly.
