Re: Drum break locked

Kodiak is an OEM for the auto industry. They're business is brakes and brakes only. ;)

Tiedown is a marine supplier that has their hands in everything.

I like the Tiedown actuators but they're brake assemblies have much to be desired. I certainly wouldn't sacrifice Kodiak's brakes quality just to be able to buy a kit.

Re: Drum break locked

Well, I did all the price checking and to put 12?, 6 lug, disk breaks complete is about $600. I can redo with drum for about $200. So I'm going to go with drums for now. Please correct me if I'm wrong but the steps sound like:

(over view)
1.Jack up all three points
2.Remove the wheals
3.Remove the drum
4.Disconnect the break line
5.Remove the 5 bolts
6.Remove the old breaks
7.Add new breaks
8.Add 5 bolts
9.Reconnect the break line
10.Add drum
11.Add wheals
12.Bleed the lines

Do I need a line wrench to disconnect the break lines or will a 10mm open end do the trick?

Thanks much,

Tom
