Dropping Lower Unit on 94 3.1L Yamaha 250

I'm stumped. Removed all the bolts, yes, even the hidden ones, and the thing simply won't budge. Would really love some insight or advice.

I'm not familiar with that motor, but if it's an outboard, did you disconnect the shift linkage?

Did you take off the trim tab?

Yes, trim tab removed. No joy.

rubber mallet around where the bolts are, not familiar with the engine but should have 8 bolts, 3 on each side of lower unit, trim tab, the famous hidden one inside trim tab hole. make sure boat is in neutral. hope it helps

Had to take a putty knife to mine worked it all the way around and then added the thinnest pry bar and worked my way up in thickness.
