MC1 drives usually hac=ve a rounded cavitation plate and have a top cap with a hole on top, R,MR have a squared cav plate and have a flat cap

@Bt Doctur Thanks for that info.

So I clearly have a problem with my drive since it won't lock when I move the propeller CCW and the shoe won't align straight when I put it in forward. From what I understand I should open it and check what is going on.

Just to be clear: if you turn the shifter all the way clockwise, and hold it there while turning the prop CCW, the prop should lock. If it doesn't you have bigger problems, and might need to be looking for a new drive.

Can I just rebuild the drive? Is it worth to rebuild it?
