Looking at the pic I dont see the knurling so you need the doublewound spring Is the bushing sticking up abone the top of the rear housing? That would mean the bushing has collapsed and needs replacing if the alignment shows the rear of the motor too low.

Ok feel pretty stupid about this whole thing. Tried alignment with another alignment tool and it went in. Looked at the end of my alignment tool and it was splayed out. I've ground it back to tolerance and aligned the engine A-OK.

Ayuh,..... Somebody used it as a heavy drivin' punch, insteada the precision measurin' tool that it is,..... ;)
