I could use some help with this. I have a 2000 VP DP-SM. the outer shaft has a grove and the seal is not holding. I want to use a Speedi Sleve to fix the shaft. I saw an old post on here from 6 or 7 years ago but I would like to know if anyone knose what size speedi sleeve I would need to make this work I think he used the SKF 99175 Speedi Sleeve, SSLEEVE Style, Inch, 1.75in Shaft Diameter, 0.750in Width Just wondering if anyone has some info on this

A New shaft is crazy expensive to get done!!

I have noticed that some of the seal manufactures list double lipped seals, usually Viton or other high end materials. Just thinking that the lips of the seals would bear on the unworn area of the shaft. I have not tried this myself but it just might work. Might just be worth a scan of online catalogues. Oh and they need to have stainless steel garter springs too.

Furthermore the reason for the high cost is that it comes as a complete set of pinon, bevel gears and shafts etc. that need shimming for correct engagement.
