downrigger hook up?

When you hook up your (2) downriggers do you run one to each battery or the same one?

Put them on the same battery, (#2). Also take the time to get some quick disc plugs.

Protect your starting battery, hook them to the "house" battery. To help charge both batteries, you could put a battery isolator on the charging circuit. This allows the engine's single alternator to charge both batteries equally.

House battery and protect your starting battery. I have 2 electric Cannon MiniMags and I have converted the Cannon style plugs to Scotty Plugs (Hella). Better protected from moisture in a salt water environment.
