Dog repellant?

My extra cute little labradoodle selectively and periodically selects new objects to excercise his little jaw on.

The latest victim was a critically placed styrofoam foundation vent block. It happened to be the one that was protecting the bathroom lavatory feed lines that came up thru the floor, right in front of the vent. (we've had some freezing weather)

He pulled that wedged in plug right out of the vent opening and took it out into the yard and pulverized it.

Anyone have any suggestions as to readily available household solutions that I could spray on these foam plugs that might repel him? (without killing him, obviously)

Paint them with a solution of pureed Habanero peppers and tabasco.

No one thing will work for all dogs. They do sell a thing called "bitter apple" at the pet stores. Your dog will either hate it or love it and beg for more. I've sprinkled red pepper on things before and it has worked. They say vinegar works too. If you find something that works let me know.

Yeah 12, I'll post them here in a few minutes. He is a multi-generation cross between a (yikes) miniature poodle and a labrador. Image that deal.:% He is about 1 1/2 y/o. He is a great little dog that alternates between sweet and cuddly and an inexhaustable monster. He could go out and run with the horses all day long.

This one is at about 12-15 weeks. Cute, mischievious critter.

Here he is in May, at about 1 year old. Looks about the same today. The only visable difference is that his nose is now Labrador pink.

Yep TG, I think that would do it. Problem is when it came time to pull them out, I wouldn't want to go near them. :%

How bout the bottle of cologne you don't use.

There must be some reason the dog spends so much time under the house....;)
