Hello,
I have bought a johnson 8hp 2stroke outboard with mod number: J8SRLEIA. This happens to be a sail outboard so i am worried That it has a different gear ratio so it would be slower. I got it on a 4 meter boat. Does anybody know more information about this?

No-----Same gear ratio as a regular motor.--And a " sail " motor would be for a 20" or 25" transom.-----What transom is on your boat ? -----A heavy slow boat would use a different prop.
