Does anyone have experience with “Race only” push to start system install,

Purchased a push to start setup on Amazon, I wanted to see if anyone has installed one of these yet, I have a pontoon with outboard and wanted to see if someone could help me with how to wire this up. I’m pretty confident on wiring it to start the engine and for choke, but had question about killing the engine, the “off” position. If you have successfully done this let me how u wired it up.

First, that Chinese panel is not intended for non-automotive use

Second, that Chinese panel is not intended for a damp environment such as a boat

Third, that cheap panel doesn't last that long in a car. I am making a new panel to replace that exact POS for a buddy's car after the switches started failing

I personally would suggest you send it back to Amazon

It's much easier to install an ignition switch. Another small panel for the accessories.

I get the "cool" factor and all but boats have had ignition switches forever. Why are we looking to reinvent the wheel so to speak? Is there a problem you're trying to fix??

**I agree that panel looks incredibly cheap and I'd be very leery of the price its being sold at. Probably cheapest parts they could find at that price, not marine grade.....probably more for a go-kart.

A good marine switch is $12, a good relay is $4, a good relay socket is $3.

The switches on the Amazon panel fall apart after 6 months

I was looking around for marine push button starting and came across several remote start systems for boats. I have an I/O... thinking remote start would equal kaboom? or am I wrong. just seems like bad idea. Not trying to hijack this thread.

To stay a little more on topic, I purchased several parts from an online retailer (note not from here, Iboats are %100). The parts were cheaper that here and my local Marina. These parts did not last a year just going proving you get what you pay for.

Actually the panel I am wanting to wire to get rid of using a key, I have the weatherproof covering for it, so I just wanted to see if it could be wired for a boat?

your key switch on an outboard is for magneto ignition. it also controls the choke.

the panel you have is for powered ignition.

with lots of know-how, you could get it wired. however the switches will fail. a cover isnt going to help.
