Does anyone else unplug their wiring harness before putting the trailer in the water?

I had corrosion issues with the lights that came on my trailer. Was always cleaning sockets and replacing bulbs. I replaced them with sealed LEDs 3 years ago and have not had a problem since. I never unplug mainly because I'm lazy.::D

I was taught from the beginning to unplug the lights and I always have. Its just part of my procedure. I did forget to unplug them once and nothing bad happened. I don't know if its necessary but its just the way I do it.

I do not unplug. No issues. I have all connections coated in dielectric grease... whether it helps or not. Sometimes its nice to see lights under water to help load at night. I have never seen anyone else at the ramp unplug either.

Got a sign on my dash. Says; Unplug lights, and Get ice. Don't have sealed lights or I would change the sign. Need ice to keep salmon cool and fresh.
