Outstanding contributions you guys. Thanks so much. The pics were fabulous, especially of the RC where an "experienced operator" could keep you off the "dock" with the wind and waves at your stern. I agree that Karl should have been able to upgrade his shifter for the I6 engine.

This thread brings up memories of my first boat about 23 years ago. 14' flat bottom ski boat with a 70 hp Mercury dock crusher (dockbuster). That think was interesting to drive. I never did get it running right at top speed though. Without internet, information was harder to come by. I eventually gave up on it. I wish I had it now!
